Our Shipping & Delivery Process

Motorcycles are strapped onto a special skid and secured with soft straps. Units other than motorcycles are secured directly to the truck using straps. The skid provides a Perimeter of Protection around the bike to help protect it during transport. The transport time is generally a bit faster than our Economy Service, yet the cost is usually higher.

Your quote includes our Door-To-Door shipping service. We do not charge extra “Residential” fees to deliver the motorcycle to your home. Additionally, prices are not subject to additional fuel surcharges, liftgate fees or other hidden costs. We include up to $7000 of valuation coverage for no additional charge with ZERO deductible. How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Motorcycle?

Motorcycle shipping costs range from $175 to $1,350 depending on distance, bike type, and service level. Most standard moves within the continental US average $700 to $900. Here’s what to expect by distance:

• Local Move (under 100 miles): $175–$350
• Short haul (100-500 miles): $350 – 650
• Mid-range (500–1,000 miles): $650–$750
• Cross-country (1,000–2,500 miles): $750–$1,100
• Coast to coast (2,500+ miles): $900–$1,350

These prices include door-to-door pickup and delivery. Fully enclosed transport, a specially designed shipping skid, soft-strap securing are used for the  short, mid-range, cross country and coast to coast services.  $7,000 of valuation coverage with zero deductible is included. There are no hidden fees — no residential surcharges, no fuel surcharges, no liftgate fees.

What Affects Motorcycle Shipping Cost?

Several factors determine the final price of shipping your motorcycle:

• Distance — Longer moves cost more overall but less per mile. A 300-mile move might cost $2.00/mile, while a 2,000-mile move drops to $0.45/mile.
• Motorcycle size and weight — A standard cruiser or sportbike ships at standard rates. Larger touring bikes, trikes, or ATVs may cost more due to extra space and weight.
• Service type — Our Classic Service (enclosed, skid-mounted) is the most popular option. Economy Service costs less but uses open transport. VIP Express is available for time-sensitive moves.
• Pickup and delivery location — Moves between major metro areas cost less than rural routes. Using our terminals for drop-off or pickup can save money and speed up transit by about 5 days.
• Time of year — Spring and summer are peak motorcycle shipping season. Booking early helps secure better rates and faster pickup windows.
• Vehicle condition — Non-running motorcycles can still be shipped but we ask that the tires be full of ais so that the bike will roll.

How to Save on Motorcycle Shipping

• Use terminal drop-off — Riding your bike to one of our 40+ terminals eliminates the pickup leg, lowering cost and cutting transit time.
• Look for discount offerings for certain zip codes — When requesting a quote for our Classic Service, you may see an option inside the quote window that offers a discount if you select an alternate zip code. The zip codes offered are generally close to the zip code that you entered for a quote, but might be easier for our trucks to access and therefore allow us to offer you a lower rate.
• Choose Economy Service — If your bike doesn’t need enclosed protection, our Economy Service is the most affordable option.
